10:45 am Gallery Group
The Gallery Group is an open discussion group that meets weekly to look at Christian thought both in the New Testament and in modern writings. From 26 March, the group will be studying St John's Gospel, using the study guide already being used by those attending the Lambeth Conference. Everyone welcome.
Thursday 3
4:00 pm Old Testament Group
The Old Testament Group is an open Chrisian discussion group, that meets to discuss the unexpurgated Old Testament against a background of modern archaeology. They meet on the first and third Thursdays of the month. They are currently reading Psalms.
Saturday 5
10:00 am Coffee Morning
All welcome. Why not drop in for coffee and a chat? Coffee Mornings are held here every Saturday.
7:30 pm Cantilena Singers Charity Concert.
This concert is raising money for the charities Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and the Tadworth and Walton Overseas Aid Trust. It will be an evening of music and light entertainment. Tickets, which are available on the door, cost £8.00 (concessions £7.00, under 12 free) and include refreshments.
Tuesday 8
7:15 pm Piano Recital
Shanti Paramothayan plays Scarlatti, Mozart, Debussy and Brahmns. Entry to the recital, which will last around 35 minutes, is free. Refreshments will be provided.

10:00am Fairfield Coucillors' Drop-in Surgery
If you have an issue you would like to take up with your local councillors, they hold their surgeries on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

12:00 noon (tbc) POP Service
'POP' stands for Partnership for Older People and is a partnership between the local voluntary sector and Croydon Primary Care Trust - bringing services, information and advice to older people in their local communities. The POP bus will hopefully be in the St Matthew's car park from 12.00 noon onwards. Do watch this space for confirmation of the visit. Click this link for more information.
8:00 pm Book Group
In September they are reading "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens. The 2008 programme with details of meeting place and contacting details for Freddie Eden is on the social events notice board.
Saturday 20-Sunday 21
Patronal Festival Weekend
This year we are holding a Flower Festival and Art Exhibition to celebrate our Patronal Festival. If you, or anyone you know, would like to exhibit some art work or make a floral display, please contact the Revd Michelle Edmonds on 8688 4005. The theme of the Flower Festival is "Psalms". There will be a Festival Concert at 8.00 pm on Saturday, and a Festival Songs of Praise at 6.30 pm on Sunday. The Bishop of Croydon will be joining us for our 10.00 am service on Sunday morning. Refreshments (tea, coffee, cream teas and light lunches) will be available throughout both days. All proceeds will go to St Christophers Hospice and St Matthews.
