In September this year St Matthew's is to hold a Flower Festival and Arts Exhibition for our Patronal Festival. The theme of the Flower Festival is Psalms.
Do you know anyone within our Parish who is an artist (it might be you!), who would like to display some paintings for this exhibition? As well as art from local artists, there will be work from the local schools. To apply to exhibit your artwork, please call the Revd Michelle Edmonds on 8688 4005.
Festival events:
Saturday: 8.00 pm Festival Concert. An evening of piano and organ music surrounded by the beauty of the Flower Festival. Programme of light entertainment by Robert Randall and Michael Thomas.
Sunday: 10.00 am Parish Eucharist with Rt Revd Nick Baines the Bishop of Croydon
Sunday: 6.30 pm Festival Songs of Praise
Refreshments in the form of tea, coffee, cakes, cream teas and light lunches will be available all day.
Entry will be by donation, and all proceeds will go towards St Christopher's Hospice and St Matthews.
