In our lives we are very fortunate if we have people as friends who guide, teach and inspire us.
The Rt Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkin, the Bishop of Dover, is one of those people to me. I first met +Rose on a march in London to celebrate an anniversary of the ordination of women as priests. I then met +Rose again when she was the Speaker’s Chaplain and I became the verger of the Parliamentary Chapel in 2014.
Since then and throughout my discernment to ordained ministry and beyond +Rose has been a dear friend and inspiration to myself, Richard and our family and we rejoiced attending her consecration as Bishop at St Paul’s Cathedral in 2019.
I am delighted that +Rose will be at St Matthew’s on the 28th September to share some of her life experiences and ministry with us and to answer questions.
You are warmly invited to this exciting and I have no doubt joy filled event.
