Overview of our services

PLEASE NOTE: Due to Covid-19 we are abiding by Government advice and having limited services in our church building (please see the home/front page for details).  We will though be continuing with our pre-recorded services via our YouTube channel (also available on the home page each Sunday after 10am)

Regular Services

Most of our services follow the Church of England Common Worship Liturgy. Occasionally we may explore other forms of worship.

Our Sunday morning services combine a service of the Word with a sermon and a Eucharist. Our first service of the day commences at 8.30am. It is a quiet service without music. At 10:00am our main Sung Eucharist service begins, with choir and children's groups.

We always share tea, coffee and other refreshments in the hall after the 10.00am service. Do come and join us.

Usually on the second Sunday of most months at the later time of 10:30am we hold an informal family service we call Café Church. We will advertise this service well in advance in our News feed.  The dates and times for all our services can be seen in the calendar of services in the right hand sidebar on most pages.

We also hold a monthly evening service (usually the 3rd Sunday) from 5 - 6pm called Breathe: 60 minutes to slow down, create space to breathe in the mystery of God, and experience inner change. These services will be advertised in advance in our news feed.

During the week, and subject to the availability of clergy appointments, we say Morning Prayer from Monday to Thursday at 7.45am. During August Morning Prayer is said privately, resuming in the Lady Chapel in September.

Each Wednesday we hold a mid-week Eucharist at 10.00am in the Lady Chapel.

Throughout the year we hold Healing Services, Choral Evensong (Book of Common Prayer), Taize Services and Services of Prayer and Praise.

In the right hand column you can browse our full calendar of services. Click on a given service to see further details.

For those who are visually impaired we have large print copies of our service sheets.

Seasonal services

Well in advance of Christmas, Holy Week and Easter we post in our calendar of services and in our news feed the dates and details of our festival services. Whether you are staying in Croydon or joining family and friends here, we invite you to align your own holiday dates with our services to plan the best time for your own prayers and thanksgiving.

We look forward to welcoming you.
